Karate Challenge

The annual David Deaton Karate Studios Karate Challenge is our first all school function of the year. The students are competing for individual trophies as well as the coveted school trophy (for the school winning the most 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in Forms, Fighting, and Weapons).

The purpose of the tournament is to:

  • To help educate the student body on how to handle stress and pressure in a competition format
  • To help raise funds for Project Sparrow which helps with tuition for financially challenged families

Entry Fee Information

  • By Wednesday, April 11: $50 (BBC $45).
  • After April 11, or at the door (day of event): $55 (BBC $50) No Discounts

Each competition entry fee includes 2 spectator tickets. Additional spectator tickets are $3 each at the door. Children 3 and under are free. There will be additional family member discounts on the tournament fee when you pre-register. Check at the front desk for discounted price.

Directions to Tournament

For alternate directions, please use the below map.

From Brentwood area:

  • Take I-65 N to Exit 97
  • Right onto Long Hollow Pike
  • Beech Senior High School is 6 miles on the left. Tournament will be in that middle building

From Mount Juliet area:

  • Take I-40 West
  • Take the Old Hickory Blvd Exit
  • Across the river, take a RIGHT onto Myatt Drive
  • Go through the light at Gallatin Road to Rivergate Parkway. (Rivergate mallwill be on your right)
  • Take I-65 N to Exit 97
  • Right onto Long Hollow Pike
  • Beech Senior High School is 6 miles on the left. Tournament will be in that middle building
