Gyakazuki Dachi

(Reverse Punch Stance)

Gyakazuki Dachi Karate Stance

There is 1.5 foot distance between your feet as far as width, and 2 foot length between the back toes and the front heel, lengthwise. Both feet are flat and straight to the front. The front knee is bent so the knee is even with the ankle and it also has outward pressure on it so the knee is directly over the ankle. The back leg is relaxed, straight (knee is not locked). The hips are straight to the front and the weight is equal between your feet.
