Counting in Japanese

Count­ing in Japan­ese can pro­vide inter­est­ing prob­lems to the begin­ning student.

Count­ing is a basic skill some­one devel­ops as a child and it can some­times be hard to over­come many years of learn­ing how to count in their native lan­guage then sud­denly have to com­pre­hend num­bers spo­ken in another lan­guage. How­ever count­ing in Japan­ese is actu­ally very easy and once you have learned how to count to 10 in Japan­ese you have actu­ally gain the knowl­edge needed to count to 100.
